Quan Johnson, MD, FAAP

Dr. Quan Johnson is a board-certified pediatrician with a deep passion for building trusting, transparent relationships with families. Originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, she discovered her calling in pediatrics during her final clinical rotation in medical school — a moment she describes as divinely directed. She was drawn to the resilience and hope children carry, even in their most vulnerable moments.

Dr. Johnson completed her undergraduate studies with honors at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, earning a dual degree in biology and English literature. She went on to receive her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine and completed her internship and residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. She served as a pediatric hospitalist before moving into outpatient care and joined Valcourt Pediatric Associates in 2025.

Her greatest joy is creating a medical home where families feel seen, heard, and cared for. She is fluent in English and conversational in both Spanish and French, and her approach to medicine is guided by compassion, authenticity, and faith.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Johnson enjoys reading, journaling, cooking, playing music, and studying languages. She is actively involved in her local church, serving on both the medical ministry and prayer team, and cherishes time with her close-knit family.
