Yvrose Valcourt, MD, FAAP
Dr. Yvrose Valcourt is a board-certified pediatrician with over 20 years of experience providing care to children across diverse communities. Born and raised in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti, she was inspired to pursue medicine to serve those in need — especially families with limited access to healthcare. After graduating from the University of the State of Haiti and completing a year of community service in St. Raphael, she relocated to the United States following a political coup.
Dr. Valcourt began her U.S. medical career as a Quality Manager at Lincoln Hospital before completing her pediatric residency and dedicating her life to clinical practice. Her work has focused on multicultural populations, and she continues to be passionate about supporting both infants and adolescents, offering guidance with empathy and trust.
She is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), and currently serves on a committee for AmeriHealth Caritas, which supports patients across South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, and Delaware. Her hospital affiliations include Wellstar, Aiken Regional, and Colleton Medical Center.
Dr. Valcourt is fluent in English, French, Creole, and Spanish. She finds the greatest reward in seeing a child’s health improve and in helping parents feel informed and reassured. Outside the clinic, she enjoys road trips with her family and being active in her Haitian church community. She is married to Dr. Karl Valcourt, a pediatric intensivist, and they have two children, Karl and Karla.
